Cheat #4: What’s the difference between ‘organic’ and ‘PPC’ traffic?

‘organic’traffic – unpaid search traffic, usually originating from a search engine. This type of traffic I almost entirely as a result of your Search Engine Optimization efforts. You may be lucky and get organic search traffic with little or no SEO, but don’t count on it.

‘PPC’ traffic – pay-per-click search traffic originating from a paid ‘clickthrough’ advertising delivery service such as Google AdWords. It’s common for website owners to attempt to replace ‘paid’ advertising with ‘organic’ search traffic as it will often deliver a better return on their investment.

No website traffic is free – it all takes effort.
